From 24. – 27. September 2026 the 2nd peatland congress ‘MooreMotion’ takes place in Greifswald on the Baltic Sea coast! The Peatland Congress is aimed at all students, apprentices and young people from 18-35 years who are interested in the topic of peatlands. If you are interested, then please let us know your university, degree program, area of work and preferred language by 15.03.26 via this survey so that we can assess your interest and plan better.

1. Anmelderunde Fachvertiefung im B.Sc. Biologie

Bitte denken Sie daran, dass die 1. Runde der Anmeldung für eine Platz in der Fachvertiefung im B.Sc. Biologie für das SoSe nur noch bis einschließlich 28.02.2026 möglich ist.

Die zweite Anmelderunde startet ab dem 01.04.2026. Bitte beachten Sie die zu letzten WiSe angekündigten Änderungen der Anmeldemodalitäten der zweiten Anmelderunde zur Fachvertiefung (Infoveranstaltung zu Fachvertiefung und Bachelorarbeit).

Denken Sie daran, sich separat für das Literaturseminar (B.Bio.###.L, ab 01.05.2026) und später für das Projektmanagement (B.Bio.190.2) anzumelden.

Application for a PROMOS scholarship

Are you starting a study-related stay abroad (not as part of ERASMUS+) between 1 July and the end of 2026? Then you have the opportunity to apply for a PROMOS scholarship from 1 February to 31 March 2026.

Eligible measures are

  • Study visits by students (1 – 6 months funding duration, no funding for stays in Erasmus+ programme countries; stays in the United Kingdom can be funded)
  • Stays abroad by students to complete their final thesis (1 – 6 months funding duration)
  • Internships for students (4 weeks to 6 months funding duration; no funding for stays in Erasmus+ programme countries)
  • Language courses for students and doctoral candidates (3 weeks to 6 months funding duration)
  • Specialised courses for students and doctoral candidates (5 days to 6 weeks funding duration)

Please note that PROMOS funding is very limited and only a small number of applicants can be funded. Successful applications will receive a one-off mobility instalment. You can view the country-specific amount on the homepage. Please take this into account in your planning.

HiWi (m/f/d) for labwork support working with Lepidoptera specimen

The departement for Forest nature conservation is offering a HiWi position to assist with lab work for an ongoing PhD project within the international research training group TreeDì. You will gain experience in curation techniques of insects useful for permanent preservation of museum specimens and learn basics of moth identification. You can start as soon as possible. Feldforschung im Rahmen einer Bachelor-/Masterarbeit auf der Insel Föhr

Das Michael-Otto-Institut im NABU in Schleswig-Holstein sucht für die Feldsaison 2026 Studierende für die Feldforschung zur Uferschnepfe, in der Regel im Rahmen einer Bachelor- oder Masterarbeit. Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf der Gelegesuche, dem Uferschnepfen-Monitoring und dem Aufstellen von Kamerafallen zur Untersuchung von Prädatoren in Nestnähe.
