Student assistant job: Become a Welcome Guide for fellow students (September-October 2026)

Dear students of our master’s programmes CoBi, BEEC, DNB and MLS,

Our international master’s programmes naturally accommodate students from all over the world. In order to support the international students in their start in Göttingen, the faculty engages Welcome Guides for them. You are invited to apply for a contract as student assistant (studentische Hilfskraft) to help your future fellow students get started in Göttingen. Application deadline is the 07.06.2026.

  • Contract period: 01.09.2026-31.10.2026 (2 month), 20 hours/month
  • Flexible working time in agreement with first-year students

“Studien-Check” Sommersemester 26

Die Zentrale Studienberatung (ZSb) bietet Unterstützung und Beratung bei den Themen Neuorientierung und Fachwechsel sowie Lernen und Selbstmotivation. Es gibt Sprechzeiten in Präsenz und per Telefon, individuelle Beratungstermine, einen Lernworkshop und eine Infoveranstaltung in Kooperation mit dem Hochschulteam der Agentur für Arbeit. Neue Lernmöglichkeit im CGiN | New learning opportunity at CGiN

Ab morgen (Mittwoch, 20.05.2026) steht das CGiN (CampusGastronomie im Norden) zusätzlich als Lernort zur Verfügung. Der obere Mensabereich kann montags bis freitags von 16:00 bis 20:00 Uhr zum Lernen und Arbeiten genutzt werden. Wir freuen uns, damit einen weiteren Ort für konzentriertes Lernen und Gruppenarbeiten anbieten zu können.

Starting tomorrow (Wednesday, May 20, 2026), the CGiN (Campus Gastronomy in the North) will also be available as a study space. The upper cafeteria area can be used for studying and working Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. We are pleased to be able to offer another space for focused study and group work.

How do monkeys make friends?

The DPZ is looking for highly motivated students interested in bachelor’s theses, master’s theses, or lab rotations. The projects are well suited for students interested in neuroscience, ethology, computer science, electrical engineering, or animal cognition. Depending on your experience, the work may involve behavioral experiments, video-based analysis, automated data collection, computer vision, or the development of new experimental tools.

Call for a M.Sc. project

A final year M.Sc. project is available as a joint, collaborative project in the labs of Frederic
Römschied and Anne Petzold addressing the following question: How do animals know whether to prioritize eating or sociosexual behavior? Prospective start date is flexible, and as early as May 2026.

Sorgenfrei-Campus-Stipendium 2026

Das Sorgenfrei-Campus-Stipendium 2026 bietet Studierenden der Universität Göttingen eine finanzielle Unterstützung in Höhe von einmalig 1.000 €. Es werden insgesamt 10 Stipendien vergeben.
Die Eckpunkte im Überblick:

  • Zielgruppe: Alle regulären Studierenden der Uni Göttingen, die im SoSe2026 in einen Studiengang der Universität Göttingen eingeschrieben sind, und in Göttingen ihren Abschluss machen werden (Austauschstudierende können leider nicht gefördert werden).
  • Verfahren: Um Chancengleichheit zu wahren, erfolgt die Auswahl nach dem Zufallsprinzip.
  • Zweck: Deckung studienbezogener Kosten.
  • Bewerbungsfrist: 07. Juni 2026
